The Framework for Making Sunnah Practical and Meaningful
This Methodology section details the scholarly approach used by Fiqhly to establish its Authoritativeness in guiding the Modern American Muslim toward practical Islamic practices.
Our Manhaj (Practical Methodology)
Our methodology is rooted in Hadith Sciences and the principles of Taysir (Ease) in Fiqh:
- Sunnah-Centric Approach: We prioritize the direct guidance of the Prophet (PBUH) as found in the authentic Sunnah, viewing it as the primary source for achieving practical and meaningful spiritual growth.
- Taysir (Ease) Principle: We apply the established principle of ease in Islamic Jurisprudence. When faced with multiple interpretations of the Sunnah, we select the one that is valid and most suitable for the Modern Muslim living in a non-Muslim society, ensuring the Sunnah remains non-burdensome.
- Fiqhly Contextualization: We translate the formal Fiqh rulings on recommended acts (Mandub) into actionable steps for the fast-paced world, turning abstract knowledge into routine practice.
Key Hadith and Fiqh Sources
We rely on authoritative texts that specialize in Hadith collection and the legal classification of voluntary acts:
| Primary Hadith "Kutubus Sittah (e.g., Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud)" Focus on Sunnah Application: Authenticating the prophetic practices (Sunnah). | Fiqh al-Sunnah Fiqh-us-Sunnah (Sayyid Sabiq) and classical texts on Nawafil (voluntary acts).
